Why did you decide to become a founder?
I wanted to use my unique talents to support seniors. Becoming a founder was the most straightforward way to do it.
How did you find the problem and the solution?
I have seen in my own family, my neighbours and all around me, that people are ageing very differently. Some are living the later part of their life to the fullest, doing things that they enjoy, traveling, socialising, volunteering… While others are bored, unfulfilled, and becoming lonely and isolated. I know first hand how insidious loneliness can be, and how difficult it can be to overcome it. With Seniors Unlimited, I aim to make it easier for seniors to maintain a healthy social circle as they age, stay physically and mentally fit, and have some fun the process!
What surprised you the most about being a startup founder?
The fact that the idea is only a very small part of becoming an entrepreneur
What’s the coolest thing about being a founder?
Tailoring your solution to your unique skills and talents, and using personal experience to help your customers best.
What’s the worst thing about being a founder?
The trade-offs and sacrifices that have to be made with your personal life, with very uncertain results.
If you can go back in time, what would you do differently?
Make less plans. Finished work is better than perfect.
What advice would you give to an early stage entrepreneur? A thing you wanted to know when you started off?
Being well surrounded in the right startup environment is super important.
